Safety FAQs

CFK Youth Engagement Center

The safety of our students and staff members is of the utmost importance to CFK. CFK rigorously follows the measures recommended by the CDC, and keeps abreast of all city and DOE news and regulations regarding the spread of COVID-19.

  • Students will alternate days of attendance at the YEC to limit exposure. We will engage 200 unique K-5 students on alternate days (100 students per day).
  • The structure of learning will be based on the “pod” system: pods of 10 students, with 1 designated staff person per pod, which minimizes health risks in accordance with health guidelines.
  • All students and staff will be required to wear a mask at all times. If someone arrives at the facility without a mask, one will be provided for them.
  • CFK has in place a rigorous plan if any student or staff member tests positive for COVID-19. For more details on our safety plans, please contact us at info@changeforkids.org
